RULES
Teams must be comprised of 2 people. Both must be holders of a valid driver’s license and proof-of-insurance at the time of the event.
Drivers must obey all local traffic laws and speed limits.
The route taken is entirely up to the discretion of the team.
Charging station usage along the way is on a first come, first served basis.
Vehicles must be fully battery/electric powered and street legal to compete for the win. (This includes gas to EV conversions, kit cars, prototypes, and current production models.)
Plug-in hybrids and electric vehicles with gas generators are eligible to participate and win superlatives, but are ineligible to win the overall race.
The first full-electric vehicle to reach the finish site will be the race winner.
AWARDS
Trophies and prizes will be awarded to teams in the following categories:
e500 RACE WINNER - First team to arrive at the finish line driving an all-electric vehicle
BEST RIDE - The most unique all-electric vehicle
TEAM SPIRIT - Team that most brought the magic, excitement, and support to the event
SOCIAL BUTTERFLY - Most likes/views on social media posts
TEAM GREEN - Team with that uses the least amount of energy
GAS GUZZLER - First PHEV team to arrive at the finish line
